Choosing a buyers agent in Brisbane

How did you choose the best buyers agents in Brisbane?

We started with every buyers agent on Google Maps across Greater Brisbane (600 businesses), kept agencies rated 4.0★ or higher with at least 10 reviews and a working website, and a direct mobile number, and then visited every site. A agency only made this list if it publishes its own articles or blog, a practical sign it shares what it knows with buyers. We focused on independent buyers agents and advocates who only act for buyers, rather than national chains, franchises and selling agencies with a buyers arm. Every agency here has a direct mobile number. They're ordered by rating weighted by review volume, with a little rotation between near ties; most are rated 4.8 to 5.0★, so neighbouring positions are close and shouldn't be over read.

Do firms pay to be listed?

No. Nobody on this page paid to be included or for their position. Rankings come from public Google ratings and our checks; we don't accept payment for placement.

What does “ABN verified” mean?

“Verified” means the ABN is printed on the firm's own website and is active on the Australian Business Register. “Matched” means the firm's registered business or company name on the ABR matches the listing in the same area. Where we couldn't find a single confident match we say so — ask the firm for its ABN before you engage it.

How do I check a buyers agent is licensed?

In Queensland, anyone acting as a buyers agent for a fee must hold a real estate agent licence (or work under one) issued by the Office of Fair Trading. You can search a person's or business's licence on the Office of Fair Trading licence register (qld.gov.au). Ask how the agent is paid: a genuine buyers agent is paid by you, not by the seller, and should give you a written agreement setting out their fee before they start.

How often is this list updated?

Ratings, review counts and blog activity were last checked in October 2026. We re-check listings regularly and remove firms that stop meeting the criteria.
