Choosing a migration agent in Brisbane

How did you choose the best migration agents in Brisbane?

We searched Google Maps across Greater Brisbane and collected 309 migration and related search results, then kept firms rated 4.0★ or higher with at least 10 reviews and a working website, and a public contact email, and then visited every site. A firm only made this list if it publishes genuine articles on its own blog. There is no recent publication requirement. We checked genuine migration services, current public emails, a Brisbane region presence and independence rather than franchises, chains, national brands or head offices. We prioritised verified public mobiles, then smaller practices using a review weighted rating, a modest size preference and a seeded shuffle between near ties. Seven firms publish general mobile contacts and eight use local landlines. Fair Go also publishes an emergency mobile, which we did not count as its general contact. Fifteen firms met the final checks, so we did not fill the guide with uncertain candidates. Some also offer education counselling, which is distinct from regulated immigration assistance. Compare the responsible agent, written scope, fees and communication arrangements rather than treating neighbouring positions as a quality guarantee. Historical blog articles establish that a practice publishes its own material, not that their visa rules remain current.

Do firms pay to be listed?

No. Nobody on this page paid to be included or for their position. Rankings come from public Google ratings and our checks; we don't accept payment for placement.

What does “ABN verified” mean?

“Verified” means the ABN is printed on the firm's own website and is active on the Australian Business Register. “Matched” means the firm's registered business or company name on the ABR matches the listing in the same area. Where we couldn't find a single confident match we say so ask the firm for its ABN before you engage it.

How do I check a migration agent's registration in Queensland?

Immigration assistance is regulated nationally, including in Queensland. Check the individual agent's name and Migration Agent Registration Number on the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority register at mara.gov.au. Confirm current registration, contact details and any public disciplinary information before paying. Australian legal practitioners can also provide immigration assistance in connection with legal practice without being registered migration agents; check their current practising certificate with the relevant legal regulator. Exempt people such as eligible family members cannot charge for assistance. An education consultant or an Active ABN alone does not establish authority to give immigration assistance. Ask who will personally provide regulated advice, request a written service agreement and fees, and distinguish professional fees from government application charges. We have not independently confirmed every named person's current registration, qualifications or insurance. Website biographies and registration numbers are reported as the practice's own descriptions, not our licensing endorsement. Read OMARA's current guidance on choosing an agent and fees before engaging a practice.

How often is this list updated?

Ratings, review counts and blog activity were last checked in October 2026. We re check listings regularly and remove firms that stop meeting the criteria.
