How did you choose the best accountants in Brisbane?
We started with every accounting firm on Google Maps across Greater Brisbane (871 businesses), kept firms rated 4.0★ or higher with at least 10 reviews and a working website, and then visited every site. A firm only made this list if it publishes its own articles or blog and has posted in the last 12 months — a practical sign it keeps clients informed. The remaining firms are ranked by rating weighted by review volume, so a 4.9★ firm with 500 reviews can outrank a 5.0★ firm with 12.
Do firms pay to be listed?
No. Nobody on this page paid to be included or for their position. Rankings come from public Google ratings and our checks; we don't accept payment for placement.
What does “ABN verified” mean?
“Verified” means the ABN is printed on the firm's own website and is active on the Australian Business Register. “Matched” means the firm's registered business or company name on the ABR matches the listing in the same area. Where we couldn't find a single confident match we say so — ask the firm for its ABN before you engage it.
Is my accountant a registered tax agent?
Only registered tax agents can charge a fee to prepare or lodge your tax return. Before engaging any firm, search its name or number on the Tax Practitioners Board register (tpb.gov.au). We don't yet show TPB status on this page.
How often is this list updated?
Ratings, review counts and blog activity were last checked in October 2026. We re-check listings regularly and remove firms that stop meeting the criteria.
