Our take
Blok Design Co. offers residential interior design around Brisbane and commercial interiors as well as property styling. Its interiors work covers spatial planning, materials, fixtures, finishes and furnishings, with detailed project writing showing how these decisions are brought together. The Hendra studio distinguishes homes designed for their owners from styling intended to attract buyers. Clients should identify which service they need, particularly where a renovation and sale preparation have different objectives.

Who will you deal with?
Managing director Megs McIlwain leads Blok, while Leonie Clothier is the current director of interior design. The visible team page also names senior interior designers Karli Robinson and Lauren Jordan, alongside other designers and property stylists. This is a broader team than a sole designer studio, with design and styling roles distinguished. Ask whether your project will sit with the interior design team and who will be the daily contact.

We really enjoyed working with Blok Design. They have a great eye and understood the space straight away. The styling was artistic and bespoke. Communication was easy and the whole process was smooth and very well organised from the start to finish. The final result made a big difference to how the space feels. Would happily recommend
