Our take
GreenCoast combines building design with integrated Brisbane interior design for custom homes and renovations. Its interior service covers space planning, mood boards, materials, joinery and detailed documentation, with interiors developed alongside the building rather than added at the end. The studio describes collaboration with clients, builders and consultants throughout the process. It suits homeowners wanting their layout and interior decisions considered together, not just a furniture refresh.

Who will you deal with?
Aaron Wailes founded GreenCoast in 2009 and leads the studio as a licensed building designer. The current studio page says he personally oversees every project, supported by a team and external consultants and builders. He is the named lead from early concepts through construction documentation. The website does not currently identify a separate interior design principal, so ask who would develop the interior selections and joinery for your brief.

Working with Aaron and Amanda from GreenCoast Design was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the very beginning, they really took the time to get to know our family and design a home that suits the way we live. They were always open to our ideas and suggestions, making us feel genuinely involved in every stage of the design journey. What we loved most was how much effort went into exploring every…

Aaron was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. His design drawings were very details and of excellent quality. We're…
We bought a do up job, being the worst house (1910 heritage workers cottage) on a great street, close to Brisbane CBD. Listening to podcasts we learnt about the designer builder process of using a building designer and having the builder involved in the costing process to get an outcome that suited us and our budget. The process has been brilliant and stress free. We have just a few months to completion. Aaron and…
